He is risen. This website is updated on Wednesday and Sunday. St. John's services are now open! We are limited to 25 inside and 50 outside for worship. Overflow for indoor services will be held in the Parish Hall via Zoom. Rev. Southerland will deliver eucharist to those in the Hall. Service time is 9:30 a.m. Please continue to use safe practices, and pray for all those affect by this illness. First Sunday of the month is "potluck" breakfast with many members treating us to their amazing culinary creations. (Not yet)
Wednesday Prayer service at 5:00 p.m.In person Wednesday Services will begin May 5. Still using masks and limiting attendance. Holy Eucharist on the first Wednesday of the month.
Evening Prayer at Chapel of the Ascension is held the first Sunday of the month at 5:00 p.m. May through October. Services are suspended due to COVID-19. The Chapel is located on Old Murphy Road near Standing Indian Campground. See map.

Outreach Participation St. John's works with many community services for the benefit of the people of Franklin. St. John's supports the CareNet, Serving Spoon, Community Clinic, Cartoogechaye Elementary School, the Nantahala Hiking Club, and others through Cartoogechaye Christian Fellowship. Now sponsoring a "Little Food Pantry" on Old Murphy Road.
